DAY BY DAY PROGRAM
Day 1: Arrival in Alghero
Alghero is a catalan heritage town, with a typical network of narrow streets and a gorgeous promenade on the ancient bastions overlooking the ocena, a charming place to start your week in the Mediterranean. We’ll introduce the tour and we’ll help you out with the bike fitting. According to arrival time we’ll suggest a short warm up ride just to explore the nice rural countryside of Alghero, with olive oil groves, orchyards and vineyards.

Day 2: From Alghero to Tresnuraghes
In the morning we ride along the rugged coastline that connects Alghero to Bosa, who gave us unforgettable 40km with constant up and down, through cliffs, coves and lovely views. From the 370 meters above sea level of Cape Marrargiu, where nests the last Griffon Vulture colony in Italy, we ride a fantastic downhill leading us to Bosa and its beautiful historical center dominated by the Malaspina Castle. From Bosa we climb the hills of Planargia that, through neat Malvasia vineyards, lead us to our hotel in Tresnuraghes, overlooking the valley of olive trees sloping down to the sea.

Day 3: From Tresnuraghes to Cabras
Just after Tresnuraghes we enjoy the colourful Murales in Sennariolo, and in few hundred meters we start climbing the Montiferru slopes up to Cuglieri. Here starts a long gradually downhill along olive groves enjoing an amazing seaview on the coastline. In Cabras is clearly visible a strong and ancient fishing tradition, dating back to Phoenicians, probably the ones that started the preparation of Bottarga, a delicacy of salted and cured fish roe, extrated from the local flathead grey mullet.

Day 4: From Cabras to Arbus
Another spectacular ride, passing over the Marceddì lagoon, a place that seems frozen in time. Then the majestic Costa Verde, a beautiful stretch of unspoiled coast along long empty beaches and small secluded coves. A little part of gravel road through Piscinas sand dunes and abandoned mining villages give us a taste of “strade bianche” epic ride. The ride ends in the middle of the hills of Arbus, in a nice farm surrounded by oak forest and pastures.

Day 5: From Arbus to Portoscuso/Carloforte
This stage is about old mines, long endless beaches and secluded coves, fields of flowers and vineyards of Carignano grape. We’ll start with the exciting downhill to Portixeddu, then up to admire the views over Buggerru. From the natural terrace in Nebida, overlooking the “Pan di Zucchero” (Sugar Loaf) cliff, It looks like beauty never ends. Down again along the long sandy beach of Funtanamare, ending the day by the sea.

Day 6: From Portoscuso to Pula/Nora
This tour has plenty of beauty. And what’s more marvellous than the southern Sardinia coast? After a few km we’ll be enchanted by the neat Romanesque-Pisan architecture of the Cathedral of Tratalias, than the surprise rises along the succession of secret coves and ancient spanish watching towers, overlooking a sea with all shades of blue and green. The up and down ends in Chia, one of the most gorgeous beaches of the whole island, then we have just 15 km of peaceful countryside untill the legendary Nora, the phoenician town conquered by the romans, one of the most important settlements of ancient Mediterranean.

Day 7: Arrivederci!
